The mayoress of Valencia was drunk

2015-02-24 17:22

Two days ago the mayoress of the city of Valencia (Spain), where you can see and enjoy the popular Falles (an ancient folk festivity with regard to Mediterranean cultures and the season change, the beginning of the spring),  showed us a special meeting: she was drunk.

In some areas of the city, people know that she is... keen on alcohol drinkings, as the friends of the bottle.

If you like to enjoy the Valencian music in relation to this type of hobby, you can write "No en volem cap" (very folk) or "Romanç de Saint Rorró" (Romance of Saint Rorró). You can read the romance in two languages, at least: in Valencian and English. How? With this link: https://malandia.cat/2015/01/503. I am translating Valencian folk songs for people learning English or Valencian or, simply, for inquisitive people.

In this link you have information about the sources with the web of a video in Valencian (also known as Catalan) sung by the historical Valencian folk group Al Tall.
